
The Tunisian app Flouci, developed by Kaoun, has been ranked among the 50 best fintechs in the MENA region in 2025 by Forbes. This recognition highlights the growing impact of a super-app designed to make banking and payments more accessible in Africa.
Flouci offers a full range of inclusive financial services, including free bank accounts with an IBAN, savings accounts, and virtual and physical cards in Tunisian dinars. The app also includes a wallet that allows cardless ATM withdrawals, payments at partner merchants, bill payments and mobile top-ups.
By the end of 2024, Flouci had already passed 305,000 downloads, with 67,000 active users. Its transaction volume exceeded $91.2 million, confirming its central role in Tunisia's financial ecosystem. Building on this success, the fintech plans to expand into Morocco, Algeria and Benin in 2025.
Among the upcoming new features, Flouci plans to launch a SoftPOS solution that turns a smartphone into a payment terminal, as well as cheque scanning to make collecting payments simpler. These developments are part of a period of accelerated growth since its registration as a payment facilitator, which has broadened its services for businesses.
